On January 24th Vickey presented at the 2019 Summer Eats conference on her role in the Mattapan Summer Eats meal spots. MFFC currently serves meals at the Mattapan Library and the Mattapan Square Farmers Market.
CNOP's annual Summer Eats conference brings together sponsors, sites, and partners from around the state to brainstorm and plan for the upcoming Summer Food Service Program. The day-long conference is an opportunity for those involved in Summer Eats to meet with others in the program to learn and collaborate, and to bring back new ideas to their communities. Sponsors, sites, and partners from across Massachusetts shared ideas and learned innovative ways to increase participation in Summer Eats.
This year's conference took place at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester and kicked off with Senator Anne Gobi as the keynote speaker.
