Shari is certified Personal Trainer, Group Exercise Instructor, business owner, and former educator. Afshan, Mian

BU, Student Intern

I am a senior at Boston University studying Health Science. I am pursuing a combined BS/MPH. The concentration for my MPH is epidemiology and biostatistics with a focus on maternal and child health. My passion for public health stems from wanting to improve the quality of life for all people. I am especially interested in reducing health disparities between different groups of people and ensuring all people have equal access to resources. I hope to pursue a career in epidemiology doing research and analysis focusing on maternal and child health.

BC Student, Intern

I am a Junior in Boston College’s Carroll School of Management, with a concentration in Management and Leadership. My personal experience dealing with homelessness and its gargantuan obstacles have motivated me to help others overcome their own similar problems. I strongly believe that homelessness should not exist in our country any longer and am ready to embark on any solution that may help to mitigate the crisis in some way. I plan on becoming an affordable housing developer after graduation, with the aim of revolutionizing the entire process.
