Upcoming changes to SNAP benefits can bring a lot of uncertainty, especially when it comes to keeping healthy food on the table. We know how stressful this may feel for many families and individuals in our community and we are here to help! Take a minute and explore the additional resources in your community that may help this transition go a little smoother.Â
Keeping Up with SNAP
The Healthy Incentive Program provides money through the SNAP for members to purchase fruits and vegetables from local Farmers Market, Farm Trucks and Farm Stands. The amount received depends on the amount of people in your home.Â
$40 for 1-2 Household Members
$60 for 3-5 Household Members
$80 for 6+ Household Members
All you need is a balance of $0.01 - $1 on your Snap card to access the HIP money. Farmers must swipe the card for every dollar spent at their stand.Â
DTA is still processing new applications, but benefits won't be issued until funding is provided.
