10/26/18 MFFC co-chair, Shavel'le Olivier, received the 2018 Community Hero Award for Mattapan. Shavel'le sat along 19 other ABCD community hears that resporesented different neighborhoods in Boston. This year's theme was "In it Together" which honored Chaplain Clementina Chery, the founder of the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute, and Doc Rivers, Boston Celtics Coach, and Samuel Nagler. Leslie Odom Jr, the Hamilton star, was the keynote speaker and later performed an amazing set!
