Vivien Morris was recognized at the Southwest Boston Community Development Corporation annual meeting for her work to clean up the Neponset River. With the opening of the Neponset River Greenway Trail in Mattapan back in May 2017 and the community celebration in September 2018, Vivien Morris who is a part of the Edgewater Drive Neighborhood Association, is tackling the challenge of pollution in this beautiful river. Clean up of this river means Mattapan residents can safely enjoy this asset.
The Neponset River is a special asset in the Mattapan community that connects the neighborhood to Milton, Hyde Park, & Dorchester.
