How does dance fitness work?
Dance fitness is cardio-based with some functional movements that are very low-impact, meaning movements that are gentle for your joints and muscles. It's for all ages!
What physical benefits does dance fitness have? Helps you lose weight and tone up. It’s good for people with back or knee problems, helps to loosen up joints, and gives you more mobility.
How do you incorporate dance into your fitness routine? At the gym I tend to dance in between workouts. I love to attend other dance classes as well. I feel dancing is so joyous and lets you escape and you forget that it is actually a fitness class.
Can you share how dance fitness has positively impacted your mental health? Dance fitness helps me escape and just be myself unapologetically. It keeps me going.
Is dance a good point of entry for people looking to exercise regularly? How so? And how can it be incorporated into a broader fitness routine? For the seniors, dance fitness is good for them regularly to get in the cardio and mobility movements they need. In general, it is a good starting point for someone looking to start their health journey, but make sure to explore more fitness routines as you progress.
What social benefits of dance fitness?
Being a part of a group that is all there for the same reasons, and sometimes are self-conscious of going to a gym. It is a community, a family that encourages everyone.
