MFFC isn't able to do all that we do without the help of volunteers. Some of those volunteers happen to be students at local colleges and universities. We offer in person and remote work experiences that works well with our students schedules.

Summer 2020 Interns

Charlotte Beebe, Student Intern

Charlotte is a student at Boston University studying Health Science and is on track to graduate this August. Upon graduation, Charlotte is hoping to begin nursing school to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. At MFFC, Charlotte will be working on various administrative tasks while also helping out with the Moving For Life event as well as the Youth Edition Walking Challenge.

Augusta Imperatore, Student Intern

Augusta Imperatore is a rising junior studying economics at Boston College. She is from New Jersey but has loved living in Boston over the past two years and getting to know the city. This school she picked up a minor in the Carroll School of Management, Managing for Social Impact and the Public Good, which has really opened her eyes to how both for-profit and non-profit organizations can ignite social change.

"I am looking forward to interning with Mattapan Food and Fitness Coalition this summer to help transfer knowledge from the classroom and previous experience interning with non-profits in high school into real life action. In today's unique and challenging climate the work that organizations like MFFC are doing is so crucial and I can't wait to be a part of it. "
